Why Super 35 Remains a Powerful Cinema Standard
The rise of large-format cameras has not made Super 35 irrelevant. Its deep lens ecosystem and decades of production experience keep it highly flexible.
Modern cameras such as the ARRI ALEXA 35 combine the Super 35 sensor size with contemporary dynamic range, color science and 4K production requirements.
The more useful question is not “which sensor is bigger?” but which format best serves the story, locations, lenses and working style.
